Christianity is a Revolutionary Religion
Christianity’s essence can be summarized as The Holy Trinity of
love, as taught by Jesus at Matthew chapters 5, and 22: First; love Jehovah God
with your whole heart, mind and soul, second; love your neighbor as yourself,
and third; Love your enemy, even praying for and feeding those who persecute
you. This makes Christianity revolutionary among the religions of the world
which practice the love of their gods, sometimes the love of their neighbors,
but never the love of their enemies.
Another aspect of this religion which makes it
revolutionary is its requirement for humility, not only toward God, but also
toward their fellow man. (Philippians 2:3) Again; many religions practice the
first aspect of humility, but not the second.
Christianity teaches that happiness comes from
giving, not from getting, and by giving freely to others YOU will prosper, and
find happiness.(Acts 20:35 and Luke 6:38) And that the principle way the
Christian gives to others is through his Christian ministry.(Matthew 28:19,20)
The main religion opposing Christianity today is the religion of getting, or
materialism; - Marxist, Secular Humanism.(Romans 1:25,30 and 1 John 2: 22,23)
This religion teaches that the only universe is the material universe and
the only prosperity, material prosperity. And that the world of mankind will
only be happy after spiritual religion is destroyed, and the world’s material
wealth is shared equally among the people of the world. (Karl
Marx)
Christians are commanded to make their ministry
the number one concern in their lives, even to the extent of dying for it, -
but NEVER to hurt others or kill for it.(Romans 12:9-21) This is why Christians
can have nothing to do with politics, which is divisive and the cause of the
most devastating wars in history. The other religions of the world,
especially Islam, and Marxist, Secular Humanism believe in spreading their
religion through violent revolution and the sword.
Christians are ordered, as part of their faith,
to hate as well as love; Hate the bad, and love the good; Hate the sin, but
love the sinner.(Matthew 9:13), which includes giving everybody the benefit of
the doubt when it comes to sharing their faith with them. Christian humility
prevents them from prejudging the hearts of others as they acknowledge that
only God can see the heart, and this goes back to the principle of “Love your
Enemy”. Most religions of the world, even many claiming to be Christian, do not
live up to this lofty, noble description of Bible, Christianity.
Don’t be fooled by the phonies, as Matthew 7:16 says; by
their fruitage you will recognize them. The fruitage of Christianity is LOVE -
not hate, HUMILITY- not pride, ALTRUISM - not materialism,
SELF SACRIFICE and PEACE - not violence and war, DISCIPLINE and
VIRTUE - not licentiousness and immorality. And in this world, that is revolutionary.
